Diazepam prescribed for 3 days would be the best option and indicated for use in acute severe anxiety by the BNF
SSRI - would take too long to have any effect, not a suitable option here
CBT- not a suitable option for acute anxiety, needs time
Propranolol- useful in anxiety with prominently somatic symptoms such as palpitations/tremor, doesn't do anything for agitation and feeling of anxiety
